Matt Darey started his musical career back in 1992 when he released his own independent record and soon after signed his first major album deal with Warner Bro’s and Sire Records in NYC. Matt’s productions have been a major influence on many of todays top DJ’s like Oakenfold, Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond and many more. A chameleon of sound, Matt has produced everything from breaks to house to trance and progressive and was responsible for some of the pinnacle tracks and top ten chart hits to come from the scene including Li Kwan – Point Zero, Lost Tribe – Game Master, ATB – Till I Come, Binary Finary - 1998, Grace – Not Over Yet, Matt Darey - Beautiful and countless others! Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and started my DJ career there 20 years ago (when MC Hammer was cool). I started off playing Hip Hop and 80’s tunes on Friday nights at a place called O’Tools Roadhouse Bar and Grill for a crowd of about 100 people. I developed my DJ and mixing skills over the next couple of years and on the nights I wasn't working I started hanging around with the DJ’s in the City. I convinced one of the DJ’s to give me a night, my career took off from there. I played at most of the clubs in the city at one point or another playing anything from rock to 80’s to Hip Hop to dance music. This was when House Music became my passion. In the Late 90’s I focused on playing House music at Private Parties, Raves, and House Nights in Clubs. I moved to Vancouver Canada in 1999 and landed a gig at a Nightclub called AREA 51. I promoted House Music and DJ’s on Thursday’s. After a couple of good months with good DJ’s and crowds, we renovated the whole upstairs of the club and dedicated it to House Music Only with DJ’s from all over. I enjoy House Music and the way it makes me feel. I like the way it influences people and makes people come together. My favorite types of House Music are Tech House, Progressive and Electro. I am exited to be a part of the Radio4by4.com DJ team and I look forward to Djing on the internet to lots of people.

Raised in New York City, Groove Injection has been part of and seen the evolvement of dance music to what it is today. Behind the turntables since 1977 Groove played all over NYC until his “retirement” from the clubs and the decks in 1992. He has remained involved in dance music over the years through production and remixes, now at a much slower pace while enjoying life in Hawaii. The internet has brought him back behind the decks where his weekly “Sunday Set From the Shelter” has been greatly received by deep house heads worldwide.
